Network Engineer – Federal Government Infrastructure We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the sustainment, operation, and ongoing development of a highly complex Federal Government network environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of cutting‑edge technologies, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of mission‑critical ICT systems whilst working in a small and agile organisation. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain secure, high‑availability ICT networks across Departmental systems. Troubleshoot and respond to network incidents, implementing changes and preventative measures. Support planning, design, and delivery of network engineering solutions. Develop, document, and enforce network policies, procedures, and operating standards. Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability and service delivery. Contribute to network architecture planning and evaluate emerging technologies for future adoption. Support disaster recovery strategies and oversee vendor partnerships to ensure effective service outcomes. Technical Expertise Cisco – Routers & Switches: configuration, deployment, and management. Palo Alto / Fortinet – Firewalls. Experience with SD‑WAN and routing protocols. Industry certifications highly regarded: CCNA, CCNP etc. About You Experience working with Federal Government network environments. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage incidents and deliver long‑term solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A collaborative, proactive approach with a focus on service delivery and innovation. Active NV1 clearance.
