Career Opportunity: Experienced Public Tax Accountant – Part Time MAS Tax Accountants Pty Ltd – Keysborough VIC Location: Keysborough, VictoriaHours: Part Time – 17 hours per week Tuesday: 9:30am – 4:00pm Thursday: 9:30am – 3:30pm The Role We are seeking a positive, efficient, and detail‑oriented Accountant with experience in public taxation accounting to join our team in a structured, task‑focused role. While initially part time, this position offers strong potential for career progression into full‑time work for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage accounting tasks across compliance and reporting functions Maintain accurate records and data entry with high attention to detail Support the team with structured administration and accounting processes Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues, including exemplary phone manner Work independently while contributing to team projects and objectives About You The ideal candidate will be: Experienced in Public Practice Accounting – must be a qualified accountant, not tax preparer Task‑oriented and professional , with a strong work ethic Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning industry‑specific software Skilled with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, HandiTax, BGL Confident working across multiple areas of public practice accounting; including SMSF & Trust returns What We Offer Part‑time structured hours (17 per week) with pro‑rated leave entitlements Salary commensurate with the role A supportive, small‑team environment where your contribution is valued Clear career pathways with opportunities to grow into full‑time accounting roles How to Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter addressed to the Director Initial interviews may be conducted via Zoom.
