If so, we’d love to hear from you The Shire of Wandering is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our friendly Administration team on a part-time basis (38 hours per fortnight). In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for a mix of finance and front-line customer service duties. Your day might include processing payroll, reconciling bank accounts, managing purchase orders, or assisting residents at the front counter—including Australia Post services and Council-related enquiries. What We’re Looking For A Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business—or at least 2 years of experience in a similar local government role. Sound knowledge of accounting practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence using Microsoft Office. Experience with SynergySoft (or a willingness to learn). Why Join Us? A competitive salary package of $63,812 – $66,505 per annum (based on qualifications and experience). Minimum 12% superannuation , with the potential to increase to 17%. 4 weeks’ annual leave and a commitment to your ongoing training and development. Uniform allowance and other role-based benefits.
