Lecturer (Anatomy) – Education Focused – UNSW Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Posted : 2 days ago Location : Kensington Campus, Sydney, New South Wales (hybrid flexible working opportunities available) Employment Type : Full time – 35 hours per week Duration : Fixed Term Contract expiring on 31 December Remuneration Level B from $127,947 + 17% superannuation and annual leave loading About the Role We are seeking a passionate educator to join UNSW as a Lecturer in Anatomy (Education Focused). In this role, you will contribute to dynamic undergraduate teaching within the discipline of Anatomy and collaborate with other disciplines in the School of Biomedical Sciences. You will deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical classes that inspire student learning, design innovative learning activities and assessments, experiment with new teaching approaches, and provide meaningful support to students. Accountabilities Contribute to undergraduate teaching in Anatomy and collaborate with other disciplines. Prepare, execute, and evaluate lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and facilitate small group learning sessions. Develop and articulate a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning. Assess student learning achievements and support students in line with UNSW policy. Design learning activities and resources, and assessments and feedback using a range of suitable approaches. Initiate experimental teaching and learning approaches with support from senior academics. Support learning progression with one-to-one consultation and cohort-wide advice for positive learning and employability outcomes. Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance. Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and professional accreditation requirements. Contribute to School meetings and seminars and serve on School / Faculty committees as required. Qualifications & Experience A PhD in anatomical sciences, and / or a medical degree with relevant professional expertise. Demonstrated experience in effective biomedical teaching at undergraduate and / or postgraduate level. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence. Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills. Commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values, and relevant policies and guidelines. Knowledge of health & safety responsibilities and commitment to relevant training.
