With 1000 staff in APAC across 23 Disciplines, we provide global consultancy advice and support on a wide range of strategic and site-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and governmental clients.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Environmental Consultant to join our internationally recognised Environmental Approvals, Closure & Management team based in Newcastle.The team provides a wide range of project management, environmental impact assessment, REF’s, post-consent environmental management services such as Environmental Audits & Management Plans and works alongside other specialist teams in SLR to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.Articulate, motivated and reliable, you will have a 4 years' experience in consulting, government or industry. You will enjoy undertaking project work , fieldwork , environmental impact assessments & audits throughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national EAC&M Group (circa 70 staff across 10 offices) and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Providing advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal SLR team members Assisting Project Management/ running your own projects on interesting environmental projects across multiple industries Conducting Audits & REF’s and delivering clear and precise, high-quality reports Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors Fieldwork on exciting projects, and client secondment opportunities. Advising and delivering Management Plans ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need:A degree in Environmental Science, Town Planning, Environmental Engineering or a related field Minimum of 4 years' experience in environmental consulting Impact Assessment Expertise Experience and competence in the Field as well as the office. Demonstrated knowledge of NSW & Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines. Experience in the linear infrastructure, renewables, power and/or agribusiness sectors will be highly regarded Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
