Overview Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver, design, construct, maintain and manage facilities across the Southern Region of Sydney. D4C is a consortium of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our teams based out of Cronulla and within our networks areas. Your day-to-day activities include performing planned and reactive maintenance across our region. Key Requirements An Australian Recognised Trade Certificate Australian Driver's Licence Must be physically fit Conditions Rates per hour $51.72 Work Vehicle provided Afternoon shift paid at 15% + on-call allowance $111 per day (on call is 1 in 8 weeks) Asset types requiring maintenance may include Chemical dosing equipment experience Wastewater and water pumping stations and associated equipment Low pressure and vacuum systems Mixers, blower, gearboxes, skimmers, actuators and valves Generator maintenance servicing, connections during outages Wastewater treatment plants As part of the Operations Maintenance team, your day‑to‑day activities include: Accountability to safely conduct the role within D4C and Sydney Water's safety, compliance, and environmental policies Perform planned maintenance, ensuring compliance and safety of plant and equipment Responsive maintenance to equipment faults on shift Regular inspections, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Fault finding and rectification, including reporting and record maintenance Installation and testing of new equipment General day‑to‑day maintenance activities Skills Below Will Be Looked On Favourably: Pump maintenance Hydraulics and pneumatics Welding PRV experience Understanding and application of leading policies and procedures Troubleshoot/Fault finding experience Dogging Truck Licence Operational information: Permanent – fulltime role Mon to Fri on day shift 7am start Favourable hourly rate, plus shift penalties, allowances and overtime 1 week every 8 weeks – afternoon shift 3:30 start, with an 'on-call' component and weekend roster Leave entitlements, rostered days off (RDO's) and benefits We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.
