Overview Hybrid Cloud Sales / Pre Sales Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). This role is designed as onsite with an expectation to primarily work from an HPE office. Job Description A Hybrid Cloud Sales or Presales Consultant is a product, services, software or solution specialist responsible for leading or assisting pursuits in their assigned focus areas. You will collaborate with Account Managers and provide specialist expertise within the sales team. You will drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, use specialized knowledge to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. You may have named accounts, cover a geography, or be allocated to a high-potential account. You will be responsible for selling hybrid cloud offerings including HPE GreenLake as-a-service solutions, Managed Services and Advisory and Professional Services to end-user customers (and/or partners) in an assigned territory or industry, focusing on new business or upsell within an account. A solid understanding of HPE's services value proposition and how customers use hybrid cloud capabilities is required. Knowledge of marketing campaigns that align with account planning is also required. The Services Consultant develops consultative customer proposals, tailoring strategy and solutions to meet customer needs and understands the customer’s business challenges and objectives to provide value-added services and solutions. The role blends Sales and Pre-Sales. If your experience leans more to building the solution and leveraging the Account Manager to perform the sale, we are seeking this level of expertise as well. Your Key Responsibilities Responsible for creating and driving their sales pipeline or working in a pre-sales capacity of pipeline driven by the Account Managers. Maintains knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company’s products and services. Provide support to Account Managers and provide input regarding business development and solution expertise. Establish a professional, working, consultative relationship with the client by developing a core understanding of the client’s unique business needs within their industry. May invest time working with and leveraging external partners to deliver sales. You will also have a small portfolio of existing customers from which to focus contract renewals and upsell. Education And Experience University or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory. 3-5 years of sales or pre-sales experience post-industry graduate role. Knowledge And Skills Solid understanding of data center information technology. Willingness to learn the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated, and to integrate this knowledge into consultative selling. Willingness to learn program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure successful pursuit. Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention and growth, and positions the company as the preferred vendor for meeting all business needs. Willingness to learn service or product knowledge and share service-related information with account teams and customers. Understands how to leverage the company portfolio and how to differentiate against competitors.
