Responsibilities Providing incisive, practical legal advice on a broad range of platforms, managed investments and managed accounts matters. Advising on product design, disclosure, regulatory compliance, investment management, distribution, negotiation of agreements and restructuring activities. Delivering plain‑English, accurate, timely advice through effective communication. Maintaining and enhancing a strong culture of compliance and managing risk in regulatory and legal obligations. Establishing and maintaining effective and positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts. Contributing to the achievement of the goals and targets for the legal team. Being an active and contributing team member, simplifying processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Capability and Experience Strong post‑qualifying legal experience in financial services, ideally with private practice. Proven experience in managed investments, managed accounts or platforms and in advising on the Corporations Act, ASIC instruments and policy, industry standards, and practical implementation. Ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels and influence governance outcomes. Strong experience managing legal risk in complex environments and providing concise advice to management on legal and regulatory matters. Understanding of additional relevant legislation, regulations, standards and corporate governance for a large financial services group, including superannuation requirements (Desirable). Strategic thinking and a track record of supporting product development or transformational change (Desirable).
