Welcome to Moreton Bay Boat Club (MBBC) MBBC is the heart of the Scarborough waterfront community, with a proud tradition of boating, hospitality, and inclusive programs such as Challenge Sailing . Our vision is to provide exceptional experiences for our members, guests, and the wider community. With this in mind, we are excited to invite applications for Duty Managers to join our dedicated team. The Role Our Duty Managers are an integral part of the club’s leadership team. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue, you will support all areas of operations and ensure outstanding service to members and patrons. Key responsibilities include: Daily banking and reconciliation tasks Roster and timesheet management Data entry and reporting across club systems Ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and club policies Leading, mentoring, and supporting staff in a fast-paced environment Overseeing restaurant, bar, and gaming operations during peak periods About You To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will also: Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills Be driven, proactive, and able to show initiative Work effectively both autonomously and within a team Display excellent time management and problem-solving skills Hold current RSA, RSG, First Aid, and RMLV certificates or be willing to obtain Have prior experience in a similar role (ESSENTIAL) Understand the demands of the hospitality industry, including nights, weekends, and public holidays on a rotating roster About Us Moreton Bay Boat Club is a community-focused organisation with modern facilities, a strong culture of inclusion, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
