Be a vital point of contact for inmate visitors at Ravenhall Correctional Center. Assist in the effective processing of inmate visitors in and out of the Centre. Good customer service, communication, and time management skills. $62,000 plus superannuation. As an Administration Support Officer (ASO) in Visits, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for visitors attending the Ravenhall Correctional Center. This role involves managing visitor applications, cash handling, and reconciling financial transactions, all while adhering to established operating procedures. As part of the Operations department, you will report directly to the Operations Manager – Security Services and work in a collaborative environment to uphold our values of partnership, leadership, delivery, measurement, and responsiveness. Your Skills & Experience We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, able to work effectively in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering positive relationships. Experience or ability to quickly learn the Gateway system. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse individuals. Proven experience in cash handling, receipting, and reconciliation. Familiarity with operating procedures in a correctional environment (desirable). Responsibilities Reconciliation of a cash float prior to commencement of visits to ensure that monies provided by Accounting Supervisor are accurate. Receive and process the Application to Visit Inmate form, collects and copies appropriate forms of identification in accordance with the Victoria Corrective Services and Ravenhall Correctional Centre Operating Procedures. Issuing of visitor locker keys, receipting and refunding of deposits for visitor locker keys. Receive and receipting of inmate monies deposited by visitors for an inmate in accordance with Victoria Corrective Services and Ravenhall Correctional Centre Operating Procedures. Receipting of inmate property received from visitors in accordance with Victoria Corrective Services and Ravenhall Correctional Centre Operating Procedures. Please note : This is a full-time Day shift position (80 hours a fortnight, 7am starts) with a requirement to work alternate weekends (both Saturday and Sunday). Each weekday shift lasts 12 hours, and the weekend shifts lasts 10 hours. You will be working 7 days out of 14 days in a fortnight (5 weekdays, 2 weekends).
