Clinician, Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service RCH’s vision is “A world where all kids thrive”. The Royal Children’s Hospital’s Gatehouse Sexual Assault Service is part of the Royal Children’s Hospital and delivers therapeutic interventions for children, young people (0‑17) and their non‑offending family members in the Brimbank, Melton or Western Melbourne areas. About the role Are you a counselling and social services professional who wants to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families? Join Gatehouse’s community‑based team in a full‑time, ongoing position (80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO). You will provide therapeutic and support services within a trauma model of recovery and contribute to Gatehouse’s intake function, responding to referrals, secondary consultation and crisis responses. What you’ll achieve Delivery of quality, evidence‑based assessment and therapeutic interventions for children/young people who have experienced sexual harm and their family members. Promotion of a rights‑based, trauma‑focused model of recovery through collaboration with RCH departments, Child Protection, education, mental health, courts and community services. Contribution to a culture of open communication, teamwork and lifelong learning. Your skills and experience Recognised qualification in a relevant discipline with current board registration/eligibility for membership with a professional body.
