Senior Project Manager – Data Portfolio Location: Sydney CBD (On-site, 5 days a week) Contract: 12‑Month Contract We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate a complex Data Portfolio within a large enterprise environment. This role will drive delivery across multiple data initiatives and workstreams, ensuring strong governance, high‑quality executive reporting, and effective stakeholder engagement across business and technology groups. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of data portfolio initiatives—planning, scoping, estimation, delivery management, risk oversight, and benefits tracking. Manage multiple senior stakeholders across Business, Group Technology, Data, and Analytics teams, ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful delivery outcomes. Prepare high‑quality PSC governance packs and independently run steering committee meetings, providing clear insights into risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and progress. Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including Data Engineering, AI/ML, Architecture, and Business SMEs to ensure effective delivery and change adoption. Coordinate work across concurrent data projects, ensuring integration and alignment across strategy, data platforms, and business value streams. Manage vendor and partner relationships related to data and analytics solutions, ensuring accountability and delivery quality. Key Skills & Experience: 7+ years of continuous experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a strong background delivering data transformation projects . Demonstrated experience managing data portfolios or multi‑project data environments across enterprise settings. Familiarity with modern data platforms—experience with Databricks , data engineering pipelines, cloud data ecosystems, and AI/ML project environments highly regarded. Proven ability to prepare and present governance materials, including PSC packs , executive reporting, and steering committee updates. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex organisational structures and build alignment across business and technical teams. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship‑building capabilities. Demonstrated contract stability (ideally 1.5+ years per engagement).
