About North East Link The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project. The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project. The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north‑east while maintaining local roads. About The Opportunity We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join us on this iconic project. This role will coordinate on‑site team to deliver relevant scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications to achieve effective performance in accordance with detailed short‑term programmes and schedules within the designated time and budget. Implement site safety, quality and environment control and identify and assess potential risks. This Role Will Be Accountable For Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment through Spark’s procedures, standards, and legal regulations Active involvement in risk management, by understanding the hazards that could cause harm, promoting risk awareness and by challenging and improving work practices Order materials and equipment, and organise the application of necessary permits Resolve problems, contribute to strategic plans, and identify project improvements Manage and coordinate subcontractor partners Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and controls, including regular site checks, adherence to WEMPs, and maintenance of controls Conduct pre‑start meetings and targeted toolbox training as required Identify and mitigate risks before work commences, engaging stakeholders to control risks Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through proactive and professional communication Select, train, and develop leading hands, ensuring compliance with safety standards and fair application of industrial agreements Minimum Requirements For This Role Are Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence & Trade Qualification 2‑5 years previous construction experience in a similar role REC Nominated Supervisor experience HV/LV Equipment Installation, Operation & maintenance Tunnel Leaky feeder radio & fibre network communication systems experience Underground mining or tunnelling experience desirable Technical competency and understanding in the area of supervisior People and performance management skills for subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour What We Offer Ongoing career support and development opportunities Generous parental leave Strong culture charter Quarterly social events Reward and recognition program Flexible working arrangements Competitive salary Please click on the Apply now button to register your interest and also subscribe to ‘Job Alerts’ to be notified of upcoming opportunities with SPARK.
