This is a senior role responsible for guiding commercial strategy, overseeing major contracts, and managing a commercial team of around 10 people. The project operates under a PPP-style delivery model in a heavily regulated environment, with long-term contracts linked to the NSW electricity market. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial, contracts, and regulatory function for a multi-year electricity infrastructure program. Oversee major PPP-style agreements and manage commercial performance across several large contractors. Manage high-value claims, notices, and contract issues for long-term infrastructure delivery. Provide strategic commercial advice to senior executives and project leadership. Lead and support a team of approximately 10 commercial, legal, and contracts staff. Ensure alignment with requirements set by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). Work closely with stakeholders across the NSW electricity market and major delivery partners. Managing complex commercial arrangements in a regulated electricity environment. Handling high-pressure contractor relationships and competing commercial priorities. Navigating long-term contract structures that extend through to 2029 and beyond. Senior commercial leadership experience on large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong background in the electricity industry, ideally transmission or major energy builds. Experience working with or alongside the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). Experience leading commercial or contracts teams of 8–15 staff. Understanding of PPP-style contracts or consortium delivery models. Ability to work hands-on in a complex and fast-moving environment. Highly Desirable Experience on major transmission projects (e.g., high-voltage lines, network builds). Strong relationship-building skills and a fair, practical approach to commercial management.
