Business Development Manager The Business Development Manager is a key member of the team, bringing skills, experience, commitment and passion to develop, implement and deliver sales and customer relationship strategies to pursue Elexon’s purpose and meet the organisation’s business objectives according to our values. This role is responsible for ensuring that Elexon maintains a clear focus on creating significant customer engagement, acquisition and retention, leading to an exceptionally successful long‑term business. Accountabilities Drive new business opportunities by identifying and engaging potential clients in the electronics sector. Build a comprehensive understanding of the total addressable market. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, engineers, and procurement professionals. Collaborate with internal technical teams to understand and propose tailored solutions to meet client needs. Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, negotiation, and closing. Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to refine sales strategies. Manage marketing activities (development of marketing materials, industry events organization and attendance, networking events, internal and external communication, etc.). Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and profitability of products sold. Prepare tenders and quotations for contract manufacturing services and engineering projects. Develop and implement pricing strategies. Manage price list of existing products. Co‑manage CRM system. Analyse and report on profitability of products sold. Develop and implement strategies to measure customer feedback. Work closely with CEO to prepare and maintain strategic expansion plans. Ensure all departmental activities are performed in accordance with the relevant Environmental policies, procedures and legislation. Actively report any environmental hazards or incidents through the appropriate channels. Any other tasks as assigned by the CEO that are deemed reasonable and fall within the scope of the Marketing and Business Development team. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for the role, the applicant must have the following qualifications and experience: A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or significant industry experience in technical sales or manufacturing. Proven sales and presentation skills. Experience in all aspects of developing and managing customer relationships. Analytical thinking. High attention to detail with strong communication and project management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. The following qualifications and experience are preferred, but not essential: Relevant product and industry knowledge. Experience with ERP and CRM systems. Experience in sales of manufacturing services.
