If you have a passion for technology, a knack for problem‑solving, excellent communication, and enjoy hands‑on work, this is the perfect role for you Role Overview As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of merchant payment systems at client locations across Melbourne. Your expertise will ensure smooth and efficient payment system operations for various businesses, enhancing customer experiences and driving business success. Overtime is available on a voluntary basis. Key Responsibilities Install and configure point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, payment terminals, and other merchant payment solutions at client sites. Provide on‑site training and support to merchant staff on using the payment systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for merchants. Perform routine maintenance and software updates on installed systems. Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and completed tasks. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding payment security. Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients. Requirements Experience in installing and supporting POS systems, payment terminals, or similar technology (preferred). Basic understanding of networking and connectivity (Wi‑Fi, LAN, Bluetooth). Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver's license (Company Car provided). Willingness to travel within Melbourne for installations and support.
