Overview Multiple permanent full-time positions – 7/7 Rotating Roster. DIDO residential role 45 mins from Toowoomba. Maintain a large fleet of CAT, Hitachi & LeTourneau equipment. The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. Based in Acland, a short drive north-west of Toowoomba NAC has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002. About The Roles As NAC continues to grow, we are now seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters (Diesel Fitting Trade) to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 7/7 day / night rotating roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mobile Maintenance Diesel Fitter plays a pivotal role in performing safe & effective mobile machinery maintenance and delivering machine availability targets. What You Will Do Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance activities on a wide range of Caterpillar, Hitachi & LeTourneau heavy earthmoving machinery Conduct machine rebuilds across the mining fleet Diagnostics and fault finding to determine developing issues & existing problems Ensure the workplace cleanliness is always kept to a high standard Comply with New Hope Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times To Be Considered For These Opportunities You Will Bring Diesel Fitting Trade Qualifications Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain) Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Letourneau machines preferable Queensland driver’s licence (manual) Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable) To be successful in this role, it is important that you have A strong safety mindset with ability to actively identify and report hazards/incidents Excellent communication skills Enthusiasm to positively contribute to site culture and work as a team High attention to detail and precision in executing tasks Ability to work well as a team and independently Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day / night roster including weekends and night shift The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment What Working At NAC Offers Excellent remuneration package including annual bonus scheme Discounted health insurance (Medibank), New Hope Smart Saver program Novated Lease / Salary packaging Fitness Subsidy and Purchased Leave Programs Working for an organisation who is committed to the prosperity of the local community Career development through structured programs and diversified on the job work experiences With an opportunity to live and work locally in the Darling Downs (Toowoomba or Western Downs regions) you will be committed to delivering administration support that promotes the success of the NAC site.
