Your Mission: As a key member of our organisation, the Technical Sales Executive plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth. Responsible for engaging with customers across all levels, from technicians to project managers and engineers, understanding technical requirements, and recommending the most suitable TROPAC products or solutions, this role requires a focus on building relationships, providing expert guidance, and contributing to the overall success of TROPAC in the competitive global market. The role requires a consistent demonstration of a high level of technical expertise and professionalism in all customer interactions, enhancing TROPAC's reputation as a trusted provider of quality products and solutions. This position also has the potential for some hands‑on work. A full PD will be supplied at time of onboarding of the successful PAC member, but high-level responsibilities include: Customer Engagement Technical Consultation Sales Support Supplier Collaboration Team participation and reporting Required Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a confident communicator, with the ability to explain complex technical information to diverse audiences. Technical understanding and problem‑solving skills to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. A strategic and analytical thinker, who is a creative problem solver consistently looking for continuous improvements. Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers at all levels, fostering long‑term relationships. Empathetic, driven, flexible & passionate about high levels of service. A passion to work with and support clients, always providing exceptional customer service and going the extra mile to meet customer needs. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, deal with pressure, adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Ability to be taught new processes, systems, and programs, as well as learn product & technical information quickly. And the ability and willingness to coach and mentor junior members of the team in both technical and sales related areas. Superior time management skills, able to prioritise workload and handle large volumes of work. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work, including quotes, proposals, and technical documentation. Possess a high level of personal integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct in all business dealings. Australian citizenship is required for this position. Qualifications: High School Certificate or equivalent. Qualification and/or experience in an electrical engineering or related technical field highly preferable. Broad demonstrated experience in a technical sales, estimating and customer management roles considered. Minimum of 5-7 years of technical sales experience is required.
