Responsibilities Produce sales estimates to reflect the customer’s requirements, incorporating standard options, non‑standard variations, foundation and footing requirements, and inclusions to achieve required siting and regulatory requirements. Ensure all requirements described in the engineer’s report are incorporated into the preliminary contract and contract documents. Follow company checklists to capture and process all information required to determine fixed site costs. Produce sales estimates to support the stages of the workflow process, reflecting customer requirements and incorporating amendments required to obtain all relevant permits related to the preliminary contract (including amendments), customer selections, contract (including amendments), and post‑contract variations. Ensure sales estimates are modified accurately to suit requirements of engineers, surveyors and building surveyors. Prepare and document specific estimates in accordance with Metricon’s design and construction details. Calculate quantities and maintain inventories for standard options to complement our product range, using Metricon’s estimating systems software. Set prices based on supplier rates and margin schedules. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including sales, designers and purchasing teams. Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience working with an Australian residential builder as either a sales or production estimator. Working knowledge of the building and construction industry. Associate diploma in building construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred). Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and proven experience in estimating – a must. Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail. Interest in continuous improvement and willingness to provide feedback to management. Ability to thrive in a goal‑driven, dedicated team environment.
