Senior Project Officer Location: Parramatta, Flexible working arrangements consideredEmployment type: Temporary full-time role up to 30 June 2026Salary: $129,464.00 pa - $142,665.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role This role supports the Core & Cluster Capital Contracting team to work with the Core & Cluster unit in delivering new refuges for Women and Children escaping Domestic and Family Violence in NSW. What You’ll Do This role will support the Manager Core & Cluster, Capital Contracts in managing deliverables, relationships and risks. Daily Tasks May Include Meeting with and responding to Community Housing Providers. Reviewing reporting documentation and analysing information. Conducting internal and external stakeholder meetings. Ensuring project compliance with contracted deliverables. Database management of CHIMES. Monitoring finances and budget. Responding to Ministerial requests. Writing Briefings. Some occasional travel statewide to conduct site visits or meet with Community Housing Providers may be required. What We’re Looking For The right applicant will be able to work autonomously while being supported by a tightknit team. The team and work is distributed throughout NSW and the preferred applicant will have strong communication, organisational and self-management skills. An ability to problem solve with attention to detail will be highly regarded. To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of key external and internal stakeholders, service providers and contractors. A strong understanding of the administration of contracting and/or procurement activities related to non-government services providers and contractors. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in project management practices and good attention to detail. Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent industry or professional experience in a relevant area. Paid Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 is required upon commencement. It Would Be Desirable To Have knowledge and/or an understanding of contract administration. Have knowledge and/or understanding of community housing matters in general. Have knowledge and/or an understanding of planning, building or working with property.
