ICT Transformation Project Manager – Australian Federal Government On behalf of my clients who operate in the Australian Federal Government sector, I am currently urgently looking for an experienced ICT Transformation Project Manager who holds a current security clearance of Baseline or above. Candidates need to be based in Canberra or willing to relocate at their own cost and should have previous experience working as an IT Project Manager on ERP uplift / Technology refresh programs. As the Project Manager you will operate as part of a multi‑disciplinary team and take a leading role in managing issues and delivering strategic advice related to key projects. This includes enabling technical capabilities to be leveraged and scaled in alignment with the evolving needs of the business. Effective communication and negotiation with stakeholders will be essential to reach agreement on scope boundaries, schedules, quality standards, and budget allocations. Key Duties and Responsibilities Lead software implementation projects as part of the Technology Refresh Program, ensuring early viability of critical path issues; oversee testing activities and quality assurance processes to meet business requirements. Proactively manage engagement, representation and involvement of all relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring Refresh initiatives and project implementation plans meet customer needs. Refine business and technical requirements for Request for Tender (RFT) and Statement of Works (SOW) documentation and training. Accountability for all project aspects, including continuous monitoring and reporting on deliverables, ensuring objectives are met, risks identified and mitigated, and demonstrating return on investment. Manage and oversee all aspects of the project budgets and resources, promoting a project team environment and culture focused on efficiency and effectiveness. Determine strategic direction for the work area, set priorities to ensure quality of outputs, and lead staff involved in establishing business line improvement for optimum productivity and efficiency. Experience / Skills Required At least 8+ years in a similar role, ideally within the Government sector. Experience with RFTs and SOWs. Well versed in managing project budgets. Prince2 Certified. Experience with ERP – preferably TechOne and TM1. Baseline clearance is essential. Additional Information Full‑time role. 3 days from home, 2 days in the office.
