Site Construction Manager – Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Enemix are supporting a leading renewable energy organisation with their search for a site-based construction manager. The ideal candidate will provide project/construction management for planning and organising all aspects of the delivery of a grid‑connected battery project, overseeing construction works and acting as the first point of contact for any project issues. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale BESS project in Queensland. This pivotal role will oversee all construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors and internal teams to drive successful outcomes in one of Australia’s fastest-growing renewable energy sectors. Key Responsibilities Manage all construction activities across the BESS project site Lead, mentor and support Site Managers, Supervisors and trades Oversee project scheduling, programming and workflow coordination Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and regulatory requirements Review and approve subcontractor work, variations and progress claims Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams Drive project delivery to meet deadlines, budgets and quality expectations Identify risks, resolve issues and escalates when required Provide regular progress reports to senior management Skills & Experience Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Construction or Project Manager Proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects (BESS, solar, wind or HV/MV electrical systems highly regarded) Strong understanding of electrical systems and civil works associated with energy storage projects Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors Excellent knowledge of Australian building codes, WHS legislation and environmental compliance Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills Trade qualification or degree in Construction Management (preferred) Relevant construction certifications including White Card and Project Management credentials Valid Queensland driver’s licence and Australian work rights Contact If you are wanting to join an exceptional organisation in one of the fastest growing sectors in Australia, please apply directly or email the recruiter.
