Responsibilities Operating a forklift unloading and loading delivery trucks and vessels Accurately receipting, sorting, stacking, picking, and packing inventory Conducting stock takes and investigating discrepancies Maintaining warehouse procedures and standards Identifying and eliminating waste in operations What You’ll Bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Communicate clearly and build strong relationships Are confident using computers and learning new systems (SAP knowledge is a plus) Have a current driver’s licence Are open to learning—we’ll teach you everything you need to know Can work in hot weather environments and manage time effectively You’ll need to be a local resident to the Gladstone region. Processing bauxite from our mines in Weipa and Gove, Yarwun produces more than three million tonnes of smelter grade alumina annually. As one of the largest industries in the Gladstone region, Yarwun employs over 700 people and has a large contractor workforce. With a focus on safely improving our process every day, the team at Yarwun challenge themselves to use existing and emerging technology to support our 24 hour operation.
