Housing Manager | Homes NSW | Inner West District Location: Miranda, Maroubra, Hurstville & AshfieldEmployment type: Ongoing & Temporary Full Time Opportunities AvailableSalary: $113,266 pa – $125,72 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading Your role Housing Services is a portfolio area under the Homes NSW umbrella, part of the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). Homes NSW was established to deliver high‑quality homes and transformative services, uniting housing and homelessness functions from DCJ, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC), the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO), and key government worker housing functions. The Housing Manager leads a small team of front‑line staff who assist people experiencing housing stress, homelessness and related issues. The role entails managing day‑to‑day client service teams, providing direction, support, and coaching, reviewing operational data, and ensuring quality outcomes through strong partnerships and an empowered workplace. What You’ll Do Monitor and contribute to the overall development and management of housing operations across access and tenancy management in areas with high public housing concentration and social disadvantage. Establish and maintain a range of networks with clients, service providers, and internal and external stakeholders to achieve client expectations and continuous improvement. Provide expert advice, coaching and support to direct reports to improve productivity in a safe working environment. Ability to assist Senior Client Service Officers and Team Leaders with complex service issues and policy interpretation. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement. Strong commitment to customer service with an empathic, outcome‑focused approach.
