The Garden Family Medical Clinic Piara Waters – Piara Waters WA Healthcare Assistant (Medical Receptionist) Come and Join Our Team at The Garden About the Role We're on the lookout for a new receptionist (or as we call it, Healthcare Assistant) to join our vibrant team at The Garden Family Medical Clinic in Murdoch. We're open to both part-time and full-time applicants and are looking for someone who shares our passion for people, healthcare and doing things differently. This role is all about providing friendly, welcoming support to our patients while helping keep the clinic running smoothly behind the scenes. What You'll Be Doing Welcoming patients with empathy and professionalism — making them feel seen and heard Managing the appointment schedule using HotDoc and Best Practice (if you haven't used these before, don't worry, we'll train you) Answering patient enquiries and directing them to the right person Keeping patient information accurate and confidential Supporting the team with tasks like scanning, filing, and data entry Helping our clinical team where needed — we work together and pitch in when it counts Position includes availability to work weekdays and Saturdays as required. What We’re Looking For A warm, positive attitude and a genuine interest in people and healthcare Australian citizenship or permanent residency status is required A willingness to learn and grow – we'll teach you the rest Great communication skills – friendly, clear, and professional Previous customer service experience (medical reception is a bonus but not essential) A minimum of 6 months customer service experience is required Someone who's adaptable, calm under pressure, and patient – it can be busy at times Comfortable with computers and office software (Teams, Outlook, etc.) Bonus points for experience with Best Practice or in a medical clinic setting A respect for confidentiality and patient privacy Most importantly, someone who wants to make a difference in people's lives A current Working with Children Check is required at start of employment What We Offer A supportive, inclusive team environment where your contribution is valued Regular training and development, including all-inclusive team education events (on everything from emergency medicine to mindfulness) Innovation at our core – we love improving how we do things and welcome your ideas Pathways to grow into areas like admin leadership, education, allied health coordination, marketing, or training Flexible working options and a focus on work-life balance Fun and connection – from social events to wellness initiatives, we care about our people About Us Founded by one of our GP's, Dr Andrew Leech, The Garden is a modern, family-focused medical clinic with two locations in Murdoch and Piara Waters.
