We take pride in being a leading provider of integrated business solutions About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Specialist (Export) to join our Freight Forwarding team. Reporting to the Freight Forwarding Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for end‑to‑end coordination of export sea freight operations across Australia. This is a hands‑on operational role with a strong focus on compliance, customer service, and process efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of export sea freight operations, ensuring shipments are processed accurately and on time Coordinate bookings, documentation, and schedules in accordance with customer SOPs and shipping cut‑offs Communicate proactively with clients, shipping lines, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement Monitor vessel schedules, space allocations, and loading times, adjusting plans as needed Resolve operational issues promptly using your industry knowledge and problem‑solving skills Support existing and potential customers with export logistics services, maintaining a high level of professionalism Ensure compliance with export regulations, documentation requirements, and company quality standards Utilise freight systems such as CargoWise, along with Microsoft Office, to manage bookings and track shipments About You As a successful candidate, you will possess: Proven experience in a similar role within a fast‑paced export sea freight environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on delivering timely and effective solutions Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Proficiency in CargoWise and Microsoft Office Knowledge of international trade terms, including Incoterms and Bills of Lading Benefits At Nippon Express, we value your contributions and celebrate your role in our collective success.
