About the role The Manager, Grants Delivery leads and coordinates the Authority’s administration and delivery of grant programs to ensure effective governance in the development, distribution and use of state and Commonwealth grants for disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and recovery. Key accountabilities Manage a team delivering a range of critical grant programs reducing disaster risk for NSW communities Proactively implement the grants management framework to ensure best practice delivery and outcomes, and compliance to the NSW Grants Administration Guide Oversee the performance of Commonwealth / State and other grants administered by the Authority. Manage and maintain a robust risk and performance reporting systems for State and Commonwealth stakeholders, with appropriate governance Reporting to the Director, Grants and Investments, you will lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement with grant recipients and other government agencies, as well as work with internal stakeholders to support the grant package delivery, including oversight of compliance and reporting obligations. Being a pivotal role in the ongoing success of our services you must be able to maintain effective working relationships and open channels of communication. About you High calibre candidates will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, this could be management / finance, or a discipline related to disaster risk reduction. They will have significant experience in managing and developing programs across the grantslifecycle in a dynamic and politically sensitive environment. Strong candidates will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and an ability to deliver outcomes while working in a dynamic environment. Courage and resilience, integrity and a customer service orientation are critical for this role, as are the abilities to manage priorities, influence and negotiate.
