Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs, designed to give parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to strengthen family relationships. The program is active in over 30 countries and has offices in 8 countries. As part of our continued commitment to our clients, we are currently seeking a First Nations Community Engagement and Implementation Consultant to provide implementation support to practitioners, organisations and communities who are delivering Triple P programs in their workplace. The Role Working as part of a supportive team; the First Nations Community Engagement and Implementation Consultant will provide clinical support and guidance to Triple P’s external partner organisations (both Indigenous and non‑Indigenous), using the Triple P Implementation Framework. Duties will include: Support implementing organisations/communities to develop effective implementation processes in a culturally informed and responsive way which reflects local community needs. Support implementing organisations/communities to deliver Triple P programs in a culturally informed and responsive way which reflects local community needs (coaching and co‑delivery of Triple P program as required). Support the development of Triple P training and accreditation plans. Support the development of active clinical and implementation evaluation processes. Visit organisations (travel to regional and remote locations will be required) to support implementation. The Person Required or desired skills to perform the role are: Required: To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. A degree in public or human services (psychology, public health, health education, social work, social and behavioural sciences) is desirable or relevant demonstrated experience will be considered. Own transport and Drivers Licence are essential. Ability to travel to other locations including Victoria on an independent and regular basis is an expectation of this role. Experience in engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations or communities on a local, state or federal level. Experience managing programmes or projects related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Experience with Triple P as a trained practitioner, researcher or local coordinator.
