UX Researcher Role Overview UX Researchers own end-to-end planning, execution, analysis and reporting of research projects, consistently achieving research outputs needed by Product teams to inform strategic decisions. The research findings inform product design, user experience, product direction and market strategy, impacting Agoda’s business success. Qualifications Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human–Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or any related field 7+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research Experience with qualitative and user‑centered design methods (individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think‑aloud usability testing, etc.) Experience with quantitative research (metrics, survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, statistical concepts, etc.) Experience evaluating, negotiating and working with external research vendors Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to a variety of stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative data Demonstrated critical thinking beyond business requests Excellent storyteller and communicator, speaks fluently in English to business people, designers, engineers and other stakeholders Enjoys collaborative work in a dynamic, data‑driven and creative environment Responsibilities General Role Expectations Demonstrates critical thinking beyond explicit business requests Functions independently in all operational research tasks Leads core end-to-end research activities – driving objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis and communication Research Skills Good judgement when evaluating research opportunities (importance, urgency, impact for team) Ability to challenge details of research requests and propose solid solutions Strong project execution while expanding breadth and depth of abilities Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, triangulating findings with methods and theories Application of tools and inspection methods to quantify value and efficiency of research Ability to adapt and innovate methods in collaboration with senior researchers Familiarity with key software tools (surveys, diary studies, analysis) Knowledge of data compliance and ethics in all activities Collaboration & Collaboration Drives cross‑discipline collaboration via research insights and activities Collaborates efficiently with other researchers and disciplines, with clear commitments for shared ownership Demonstrates excellent communication skills, tailoring style for different audiences, concise and open to feedback Research Community Contributions Contributes to the research community – sharing work, coaching or mentoring, screening research candidates Discover More About Working At Agoda Agoda Careers Facebook LinkedIn YouTube Equal Opportunity Employer At Agoda, we pride ourselves on being a company represented by people of all different backgrounds and orientations.
