Overview National HSE Manager role at Shadbolt Group Location: Victoria or South Australia Shadbolt Group is a proudly Australian engineering and manufacturing business (est. We are seeking a highly experienced National HSE Manager to lead our health, safety and environmental strategy across multiple sites. This is a key leadership role driving compliance, culture, and continuous improvement in a complex, high-risk industry environment. About the Role Lead Shadbolt's national HSE systems and governance framework. Drive a strong safety culture across workshops, shipyards, and project sites. Partner with senior leaders, project managers, regulators and clients to deliver safe, compliant outcomes. What You'll Be Doing Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned to ISO and ISO management systems. Oversee risk management, audits, incident investigations and corrective actions. Embed safety into new projects and operations from mobilisation through execution. Lead training, toolbox talks, inductions and safety awareness programs. Report safety performance and improvement initiatives to the Executive Team. What You'll Bring Tertiary qualification in WHS / OHS, Risk Management, Engineering or related discipline (Diploma or higher). Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk frameworks, and ISO management systems. Experience managing HSE in engineering, fabrication, shipbuilding or heavy industry environments. Proven leadership in driving cultural change and engaging stakeholders at all levels. ICAM / TapRooT or equivalent incident investigation training.
