About the Role As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting key financial reporting and compliance obligations. Your responsibilities will include providing technical accounting advice, preparing statutory reports, managing transactional accounting activities, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. You will collaborate with various business groups to maintain high‑quality accounting practices and contribute to process improvements. Key Accountabilities Provide technical advice on accounting and tax matters, interpret accounting principles and standards, and stay updated on emerging issues Assist with the preparation of year‑end financial reports, government submissions, tax obligations, and audits Prepare submissions of financial reporting requirements to Government, including actual and budget financial results to DTF and annual report and corporate plan data to DELWP, and quarterly financial data to ABS Manage fixed assets, developer income, leases, and month‑end reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data Monitor compliance with accounting policies, support system‑based controls, perform ad‑hoc financial analysis, and identify improvement opportunities Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards, contributing to internal policy development and compliance initiatives About You Strong understanding of technical accounting and tax principles High proficiency in Finance ERP systems and databases Proven experience in general ledger management and statutory reporting High proficiency in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting with 4+ years of experience CPA or CA qualification The Benefits An environment that values diversity and inclusion, encouraging you to bring your whole self to work Frankston based role with free on‑site parking Hybrid work arrangements with two working from home days Attractive hourly rate #J-18808-Ljbffr
