About the Company A leading Australian investment and property group is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their high-performing real estate finance team on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. Supporting a portfolio of major retail property assets, this role offers strong exposure to senior internal and external stakeholders within a sophisticated investment environment. The Role You’ll play a key role in the financial management of several large retail assets within a complex investment structure. Working in a fully integrated property and investment environment, you will assist with statutory reporting, financial performance analysis, operational accounting, and oversight of external service providers. This position suits someone confident partnering with senior leaders, experienced in joint‑venture or multi‑entity structures, and familiar with property, real assets, or broader investment environments. Candidates with strong systems capability, the ability to problem‑solve, and a proactive mindset will thrive in this role. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse statutory financial statements, management accounts, and investment reporting Support month‑end close, financial compliance, audit, and year‑end processes Collaborate with senior stakeholders across property, finance, operations, and external partners Oversee deliverables from outsourced accounting, audit, or tax service providers Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cashflow analysis and performance reporting Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory requirements About You CA or CPA qualified Minimum 4+ years’ experience in financial accounting Strong technical understanding of Australian Accounting Standards First or second mover from a Big 4 or mid‑tier accounting firm highly regarded System savvy with the ability to troubleshoot, problem‑solve and streamline processes Experience within property, real assets or multi‑entity structures Exposure to treasury or fund accounting preferred Real estate or retail property experience is a bonus Confident communicator with the ability to partner with senior stakeholders What’s On Offer CBD location Highly competitive salary package Exposure to large-scale retail assets and sophisticated investment structures High‑visibility role with senior leadership Supportive, collaborative team environmentExcellent opportunity for a strong financial accountant seeking a contract role 9‑month leave cover with potential to build long‑term career pathways Apply Now If you or someone you know is interested, we encourage you to apply.
