Overview As part of our centralized Enterprise Data function, you will partner with technology and business stakeholders to shape and grow our data platforms. Your work will support customer growth, improve experiences at scale, and embed a data‑driven culture across the organization. Analytics & Insights Leverage Great Southern Bank data to provide insights that drive data‑led decisions. Tell stories with data using engaging visualisation and presentations to communicate key messages. Deliver timely and accurate data solutions, supporting internal stakeholders’ operational insights. Proactively investigate and apply innovative analytical techniques to support data maturity. Identify data gaps and opportunities for business growth. Contribute to a culture of exceptional service, teamwork, and professional ethics. Stakeholder Engagement Nurture productive relationships with stakeholders, constructively challenging and contributing to outcomes. Engage in discovery processes to capture, understand, and interpret business problems. Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating status, blockers, and risks. Build data products to help stakeholders solve problems and guide data‑driven decisions. Maintaining the Data Environment Provide requirements and findings to data engineers for mapping, validating, and documenting transformations. Assure data quality, communicate issues, and work with Data Stewards on root‑cause resolution. Recommend consolidation of data definitions and improve efficiencies across the data landscape. Risk Management Apply common sense and compliance training to manage risks. Identify, capture, and report data gaps and quality issues. Escalate potential risks and implement risk management processes. Monitor WHS hazards and respond to incidents. Qualifications Essential Experience in an analytics role for 3+ years. SQL knowledge for analytical problem solving. Programming in Python, R, Scala, or equivalent. Understanding of ETL systems and processes, ideally on a cloud data platform. Experience with raw and complex data. Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to present complex information simply to business and technical stakeholders. Consultative approach and challenge stakeholder needs appropriately. Demonstrated ability to anticipate and communicate opportunities from data sources. Experience solving a wide variety of problems through analytics. Tertiary qualification in business, finance, IT, computer science, mathematics, economics or equivalent. Desirable Programming skills in Python, R, Scala, etc. Independent learning via Datacamp, Kaggle, etc. Experience with Cloud Data Services (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Databricks knowledge (and certification) highly regarded.
