Urban Edge SA is a well established Residential Building Company in Adelaide with over 20 years in the construction business. Part of a group of companies, that specialise in all things property related, Construction, Land Developments and Sub-Division, Realestate Sales and Property Management. Team is growing, work is on the increase, so we are searching for an Experienced Pre-Construction professional to join our team. Experienced in Estimating, Contract Administration and General Preconstruction work flow. The right team mate, because without a great team we cannot be a great company. This opening is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our group, suitable for many fields with experience in preconstruction. Someone looking to do more than just a single task all day. A motivated and enthusiastic individual who wishes to join a team of professionals and grow together, helping the team to improve and excel in the residential building space. You will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in Residential Construction industry, and if relevant to Pre Construction would be preferred. Local experience also preferred. Being proficient in construction software with experience in CoConstruct, Click homes or Builder Trend experience would be a great addition. A trade qualification or tertiary degree would be highly regarded in related field. You will need be an energetic team player and have a proactive attitude to achieve results. Self motivated and ability to work unsupervised. Responsibilities Understanding both planning and Working drawings Production Estimating jobs from start to end as required Understanding the lodgment of plans to council or required authority would be helpful Planning and scheduling assistance as required Pre construction workflow management to ensure file moves from initial client meeting throught to construction department Contracts Administration experience would also be highly regarded Eye for detail is a must, ensuring true and correct plans, and construction documentation are crucial Assisting Constrction Manager in questions relating to pre construction Liaising with a number of internal stakeholders Reporting to ensue budget vs actual margins are met. Qualifications Previous experience in a residential building company Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and engineering Sound knowledge of construction methods Previous experience in reading, understanding and interpreting contractual documents, specifications and drawings Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet short deadlines Strong communication skills both written and verbal A strong desire to develop a professional career within the Residential Construction industry Current and valid right to work entitlements within Australia Add brief description along with your resume in the cover letter, how your previous experience is relevant to this role and why you could be the best candidate for us.
