Contract Facilities Manager We are seeking a Contract Facilities Manager to join our team and support a portfolio of retail stores across Sydney. This role is ideal for a mid-level professional with experience in retail maintenance, facilities management, or shopfitting coordination who thrives in a flexible, hybrid work environment. Role Overview This is a contract-based role with a combination of on-site store visits and remote coordination. You will be responsible for ensuring all stores are maintained to brand standards, liaising with contractors, and providing timely solutions for operational and maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site visits to assess and address maintenance needs Coordinate contractors, trades, and service providers (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, shopfitters) Respond to maintenance requests promptly via WhatsApp, email, or phone Maintain and update preventive maintenance schedules Support minor store fit outs, refurbishments, and refresh projects Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations Prepare maintenance reports, track work progress, and document completed jobs Act as the main point of contact between stores, contractors, and management Requirements 2–5 years of experience in facilities management, retail maintenance, or shopfitting Strong contractor management and coordination skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across different sites Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Hands‑on approach and practical understanding of building services and maintenance systems Reliable and responsive, able to manage urgent issues remotely Why Join Us Flexible hybrid working structure: scheduled on‑site visits + remote coordination Opportunity to work across a variety of retail environments and fit-out projects Gain exposure to operational decision-making and contractor management Long-term contract opportunity with potential for growth If you are a proactive Facilities Manager or Maintenance Professional looking for a contract role with autonomy and variety, we would love to hear from you.
