Cardiology Administration Officer – Royal Melbourne Hospital The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of Australia’s leading public healthcare providers. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Cardiology Administration Team at the City (Parkville) Campus. Key Responsibilities Manage cardiology clinic operations, including patient bookings, appointment scheduling, cancellations, enquiries, and waiting list coordination. Provide professional, compassionate communication with patients and carers, including check‑ins, Medicare billing and general reception duties. Liaise closely with nursing and medical staff, other hospital departments and clinical teams regarding schedules, cancellations and patient flow. Ensure referral, documentation and compliance requirements are met before clinic visits, including verifying current referrals. Maintain accurate document management through effective filing, scanning and record organisation. Use hospital systems (IPM, EMR) competently and stay updated with training and system enhancements. Required Qualifications and Experience Previous hospital experience. Knowledge of medical terminology. Sound keyboard skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong administrative and computer skills. Professional, adaptable and committed to delivering a high‑quality patient experience. Desirable Understanding of the cardiology diagnostic environment.
