As our Technical Sales Manager, you will drive international customer projects and act as an advisor to leading food manufacturers. You will become part of KMC’s Technical Sales team based at our headquarters in Brande. The commercial part of KMC consists of Business Development, Global Sales, Technical Sales, Application and R&D, all working closely together to create value for international food manufacturers. The collaboration is characterized by a high level of knowledge sharing, professional expertise and sparring across markets, segments and functions. For the team, we are looking for a Technical Sales Manager for a 12‑month maternity cover, with good prospects for extension. In this role, you will be offered flexible and competitive terms of employment as well as an attractive salary package including pension and health insurance. Your workplace will be in our newly built Innovation Center together with Application and R&D. YOUR TASKS As a Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible across segments and geographical markets to handle customer projects together with the commercial responsible for your markets. It is your task together with internal stakeholders to secure technical follow‑up and progress on projects and activities agreed with the customers. The job also includes: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors and internal stakeholders through regular contact and customer visits Identifying and presenting optimal technical solutions for customer projects and key applications. Planning and executing tests and trials, analyzing results and presenting clear, value‑adding recommendations to customers. Developing and managing a portfolio of customer projects, ensuring structured technical follow‑up and progress on agreed activities. Training and educating customers and distributors in KMC products, application possibilities and best practices. Use market and customer insights to contribute to go‑to‑market activities, value proposition development and new business opportunities in line with the overall strategy and sales plans. Approximately 60 travel days per year are to be expected. YOUR BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS You hold a relevant degree in Food Technology, Food Science or similar, and you have several years of experience from the food industry – preferably within food ingredients, product development, application work or technical sales. To succeed as a Technical Sales Manager in KMC, you naturally have strong interpersonal skills and can build trustworthy, long‑term relationships with customers and colleagues across cultures. We are looking for someone who is motivated by working at the intersection of technical application and product development with international food manufacturers. Furthermore, key requirements for this role are: Having a solid understanding of product development and product optimization processes in the food industry and translating technical possibilities into customer value. Being innovative and possessing strong business acumen; you are able to tap into and understand the customers’ challenges, products and development projects. Working systematically and being able to plan, manage and follow up on several parallel customer projects, balancing short‑term tasks and long‑term strategic initiatives. Being an excellent communicator, capable of making complex technical matters clear and relevant for different stakeholders – both internally and externally. Being proactive, enterprising and committed, thriving by being self‑driven and taking on a high degree of responsibility. Mastering English at a high professional level, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.
