Oil & Gas - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsEnsuring designs are optimised and complying to applicable codes, applications, rules, practices, standards and specifications.Achieving the functionality and robustness of the mechanical and electronic subsystem necessary to allow reliable operation of the ROV and tooling in subsea conditions.Leading and mentoring junior engineers.Designing engineering products and processes.Crafting detailed models and drawings or products using CAD.Performing necessary analysis and calculation e.g., FEA, hydrodynamics, subsea calculations, lift and structural analysis.Analysing prototype data and retest if needed.Researching new product ideas and methods.Improving existing products and processes.Maintaining accurate records and writing detailed reports.Finding creative design solutions to problems.Presenting prototypes and designs to customers and project managers.ROV structural design and checks, including weldment analysis and deliverables for installation and site visits.Developing knowledge and monitoring compliance to applicable codes, applications, practices, QA/QC policies, designs, standards and specifications.Performing overall quality control of the work, including detection of quality issues and corrective action, arrangement of certification for equipment and report regularly on work status.Facilitating communication, liaison and interfacing with TMT Australia Head Office engineering team.Job RequirementsEngineering degree in mechanical, mechatronic, electronic or other similar discipline10+ years’ experience in engineeringExperience in marine, oil and gas (offshore), ROV or subsea industriesSupervisory and leadership skillsYour application will include the following questions:
