As our Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in processing the fortnightly payroll, resolving payroll-related issues, and providing expert advice to our expanding workforce.You will also partner with the Leadership team to identify and drive process improvement through management of change to achieve best practice payroll controls, transparency, and processes.Your responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day administration payroll including superannuation, taxation, and end-of-month/year processes, as well as maintaining meticulous employee records and assisting with award interpretation and employment contracts.If you are serious about taking your role in payroll to the next level than this role is for youWhat We Offer:Wacol-based role complemented by a professional office environment with free onsite parking.Full-time position with flexible office hours Monday – FridayCompetitive remuneration package reflective of your experience and expertiseLong-term employment prospects with a company committed to your professional development.Salary Packaging optionsSafety-first culture ensuring your well-being in the workplace.Opportunity to be part of Australia’s fastest growing and most advanced blast hole drilling company, shaping the future of the industry.To be considered applicants must have:Minimum five years’ experience as a Payroll Officer, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex payroll functionsExperience in full end-to-end payrollHigh level of experience dealing with differing awards, contracts, shift patterns and hours.Review timesheets, work charts, wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.Contribute and assist in the implementation of new systems and processes (e.g. new roster system)Process super, salary sacrifice, salary packaging and Child support payments.Preparation of payroll tax and workover returns.Maintain payroll reconciliations and detailed records for auditing.Experience in championing system implementations/upgradesExperience with dealing with Management with change.Proficient problem-solving skills coupled with influential capabilities.If you’re an experienced payroll professional looking for your next step and an experience senior payroll person seeking a fulfilling role where your expertise will be valued and your potential nurtured, we invite you to apply.Roc-Drill Pty Ltd is an equal opportunity employer, Indigenous and female candidates are encouraged to apply.Apply or Enquire about this role
