Overview PERMACAST is seeking a proactive and well‑organised HSEQ Officer to support our operational teams and strengthen our health, safety, environmental, and quality performance across the business. This role suits someone who enjoys both field engagement and systems work, and who wants to contribute to a strong, practical safety culture within a high‑risk manufacturing environment. Australian work rights are required for this position. Working closely with the HSE Manager, you will support day‑to‑day HSEQ compliance, maintain our management systems, and assist with audits, incident response, and continuous improvement across the site. Key responsibilities Maintain and update HSEQ management system documents, registers, and compliance records. Support internal audits, NCR tracking, supplier assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct routine inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments across site operations. Assist with developing and reviewing SWMS, JHAs, SOPs, and other operational safety documents. Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and operational meetings. Assist with incident response and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Coordinate HSEQ‑related training, inductions, licence tracking, and competency management. Support emergency preparedness, including drills, equipment checks, and response planning. Manage contractor and visitor HSE compliance, including pre‑qualification and site access checks. Prepare HSEQ data summaries, monthly reports, safety alerts, and system updates (e.g. STEMS). Provide general HSEQ support and guidance to supervisors, employees, and contractors. This role will be mostly field‑based with time split between on‑site engagement and systems work. About you Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent). Experience in HSEQ coordination, document control, or quality‑related roles in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments. A minimum of 1‑2 years of HSEQ experience is required. Hands‑on experience in inspections, risk assessments, incident response, or safety system administration. Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (preferred). Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident communicator able to support frontline supervisors and engage with contractors. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE data management systems. Current WA Driver's Licence and Construction White Card. Why PERMACAST?
