National Glass is seeking a Full Time Despatch Coordinator at our Geebung Location to lead our logistics and despatch function and drive service excellence across our business. Full Time Employment Hours : Monday - Friday 2:00am - 10:00pm (Hours will be flexible to an extent for the successful candidate) About the Role As our Despatch Coordinator based at our Geebung Location, you’ll oversee the full logistics function, including the routing of outbound shipments and managing the end-to-end delivery of materials and finished goods. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our despatch operations run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining a strong customer service focus for both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll work closely with our Purchasing, Sales, and Operations teams to build optimal delivery schedules, ensuring customer expectations are met and costs are accurately understood and covered. In this role, you’ll also support and develop Despatch 2IC(s) and play a key part in the ongoing performance and capability of our loading and driving teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the routing and coordination of outbound shipments. Drive clear, consistent, and customer-focused communication across the department. Ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods, meeting all quality, service and contractual requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to optimise delivery schedules and ensure accurate cost coverage. Provide leadership, guidance and performance management to Despatch 2IC(s), loading teams and drivers. Oversee fleet management, including company drivers and contractors, and recommend changes to fleet size as needed. Maintain and develop contractor driver contracts. Continuously review and improve processes and systems to enhance safety, efficiency and delivery performance. What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior logistics management role. A professionally recognised supply chain or logistics certification (highly regarded). Experience in the movement or handling of processed glass products (highly desirable). Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams, contractors and KPIs. Excellent communication skills and a proactive customer service approach.
