Applications close Friday 5th September 2025 Essential Criteria A committed Christian actively involved in their local church An ability to actively subscribe to and promote the foundational beliefs and doctrines of Maitland Christian School Limited A relational and empowering educator, able to grow student vision and capacity for learning in a Christian Education framework Demonstrating skills in relating to students, staff, parents, and the broader community A collaborative learner, able to work as part of flexible teams, to pursue ongoing excellence An education professional with a growing knowledge of their learning area, pedagogy, and innovation Experience teaching throughout Years 7-12 Able to demonstrate skills and flexibility to work with staff, students, and parents in a vibrant learning environment A willingness to learn, grow, and be coached as a teacher Demonstrating well-developed communication, administration, and interpersonal skills Experience teaching senior classes highly desirable; new graduates are encouraged to apply Selection Process The School’s Selection Committee will consider applications as they are submitted and prepare a shortlist of candidates for interview. The School may move more quickly to interview highly suitable applicants. It is expected that at least one round of interviews will be undertaken with the successful applicant appointed to the School staff, ideally commencing duties as soon as possible at the beginning of Term One 2026 or as negotiated. Salary Salary will align with NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi Enterprise Agreement at the successful applicant’s level of responsibility and experience. Given the School’s size and the supporting leadership structure, a teaching load will form part of the role.
