Principal Policy Officer Salary: PSO Level 7 $139,860 - $149,485Location: PerthWork Type: Permanent - Full Time Overview The Mental Health Commission (Commission) is working to establish mental health, alcohol and other drug systems that meet the needs of Western Australia's population and deliver quality outcomes for individuals and their families. Responsibilities Shape legislative reform and drive key policy, strategy, and planning initiatives related to mental health and AOD. Lead complex legislative and planning initiatives while fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver improved outcomes for individuals experiencing mental health challenges and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. Demonstrate a strong commitment to person‑centred approaches, ensuring that the needs of individuals, their families, carers, and advocates are at the forefront. Emphasise partnership and co‑design, fostering inclusive engagement to achieve better mental health and AOD outcomes across the community. Qualifications Strategic thinker with strong policy development expertise. Experience in leading complex legislative and planning initiatives.
