Paralegal - Inquiries, Prosecutions and Administrative Law Join to apply for the Paralegal - Inquiries, Prosecutions and Administrative Law role at Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria Position: Paralegal – Inquiries, Prosecutions and Administrative Law Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Salary: VPS Grade 2 $60,295 - $77,430 per annum plus superannuation Working arrangements: Hybrid – office and remote work (half of the time in either setting) Hours: Full‑time, ongoing About The VGSO The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) provides legal services to the Victorian Government and public sector, operating as a service‑driven practice committed to excellence, responsiveness, integrity, insight and collaboration. About The Branch The Inquiries, Prosecutions and Administrative Law (IPA) branch offers specialist legal advice and litigation services in regulation, administrative law and disciplinary reviews, inquiries and royal commissions, and civil litigation on matters such as personal injury and negligence claims. About The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Paralegal to support the IPA branch. The role will give exposure to high‑profile matter and work alongside experienced solicitors. Responsibilities Assisting with inquiry and court preparation, including discovery tasks and document management Document review using Ringtail Legal research Drafting correspondence, briefs to counsel and relevant court documents Taking minutes of internal and external meetings Skills and Experience Prior experience as a Paralegal High‑quality legal research ability Experience with document management and discovery desirable Excellent attention to detail and high standards of work Ability to think independently ("think on your feet") Superior time‑management and multi‑tasking, meeting deadlines Experience handling sensitive and confidential information Benefits Inclusive, collegial and collaborative environment with mentoring and career development opportunities Flexible hybrid working arrangement to support work‑life balance How to Apply Apply now by clicking "Apply Now."
