They are seeking a Restaurant Manager who embodies this modern, sophisticated ethos to lead their flagship dining venue. About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dynamic and passionate Restaurant Manager to become the operational leader and the public face of their acclaimed restaurant. This is a pivotal role that blends creative input with astute business management. You will be responsible for curating the entire guest journey, from the initial concept of a menu to the final farewell. Leading a dedicated team of service professionals, you will ensure every service is executed flawlessly, maintaining the venue's reputation as a destination for discerning diners seeking a vibrant and sophisticated culinary experience. Key Responsibilities & Duties Culinary Collaboration & Guest Experience Curation Work in close partnership with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop and refine innovative menus, providing valuable insight into market trends, guest preferences, and the strategic positioning of the restaurant within the competitive landscape. Personally engage with guests throughout service, assessing satisfaction with meals and service, addressing any feedback with grace and efficiency, and building a loyal clientele through personalised interactions and a genuine passion for hospitality. Oversee the planning and meticulous organisation of in‑restaurant special functions and promotional events, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into the main operation and reflect the distinctive style and energy of the brand. Operational & Financial Leadership Take full ownership of the restaurant's financial performance, including arranging the purchasing of high‑quality goods, implementing strategic pricing models, and managing all operational aspects to meet or exceed budgetary goals. Maintain rigorous and accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions, and daily sales reports, utilising this data to control costs, minimise waste, and make informed business decisions. Ensure all dining facilities, including the front and back‑of‑house areas, not only comply with all health and safety regulations but are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and sophisticated appearance. Team Leadership & Service Excellence Lead the end‑to‑end people management for the service team, including selecting, training, scheduling, and supervising all waiting and bar staff to foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous development. Act as a hands‑on leader during service periods, which may include taking reservations, personally greeting and seating guests, and assisting the team in taking orders to ensure a smooth and engaging flow of service. Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions to mentor your team, uphold impeccable service standards, and ensure every team member is empowered to deliver an exceptional and memorable guest experience. Candidate Profile & Requirements Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager within a high‑volume, à la carte or fine‑dining environment, preferably within a luxury hotel or acclaimed standalone restaurant. Exceptional financial acumen, with demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost control, purchasing, and driving profitability without compromising quality. A natural and inspiring leader with a proven track record in selecting, training, and mentoring high‑performing service teams. Impeccable personal presentation and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build instant rapport with guests, your team, and senior management. An in‑depth understanding of POS systems, inventory management, and restaurant compliance requirements. A genuine passion for contemporary food and beverage trends, with the energy and creativity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative culinary program.
