Job Number: Job Category: Rooms & Guest Services OperationsLocation: The Westin Melbourne, 205 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 3000Schedule: Full TimePosition Type: Management Position Summary Oversee all hotel operations overnight (38 hours per week) while upholding the quality and standards of the property. Serve as the senior representative of management during the night shift and guide the night team with steady leadership. Assist guests arriving late or departing early, supporting smooth check-in and check-out experiences. Respond to guest requests and complaints with calm judgment, record incidents and ensure follow up. Supervise staffing levels and workflow through the night so guest service, operational needs and financial goals remain balanced. Complete night audit duties, balance and reconcile the day’s transactions and prepare required overnight reports. Manage late arrivals, early departures, walk‑ins, no shows and overbooking situations with accurate room allocation and billing. Monitor safety and security overnight by conducting or coordinating regular checks and following emergency procedures. Be an expert on the hotel and the local area so you can guide and reassure guests throughout their stay. Maintain clear communication with day shift leaders through detailed handovers and documentation. Support the wellness focused Westin experience by ensuring a quiet, safe and restful environment for all guests through the night. About You Experience using OPERA or a similar property management system. Relevant experience in a comparable supervisory or managerial role. Motivated to advance your career.
