GPH operations cover a large regional geographical footprint in NSW and ACT. About The Position Grand Pacific Health’s Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a safe and welcoming entry point for people experiencing distress/crisis, and/or with moderate to severe mental health needs. The centre provides high quality, evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support, and treatment to people experiencing psychological distress, their family, carers, and support networks. The multidisciplinary mental health team facilitates a holistic and collaborative approach to care which addresses a broad range of social, physical, and emotional needs. The Mental Health Clinician, Wagga Wagga works collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to identify their support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. The position provides high quality biopsychosocial assessment, care coordination and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to consumers. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the option for a Rostered Day Off each month, based in Wagga Wagga. The service will operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, as needed. We Are Looking For Someone With Current full or working towards AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, or occupational therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker (or working toward) Demonstrated ability to engage with consumers and their families or carers to undertake assessment to determine care needs and provide care coordination and referral support Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic supports Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills and ability work as part of a team as well as independently Current driver's license and willingness to travel for the role and flexibility to work outside normal business hours Why join GPH?
