We are excited to announce this opportunity within our Planning Land Use Strategy Housing & Infrastructure (PLUSHI) division. The Role Our Finance Manager is responsible for leading the ongoing improvements to finance systems, processes and capabilities throughout the Planning group. By fostering knowledge sharing and elevating the team’s digital and analytical skills, the role works closely with business units across the division to drive innovation and boost efficiency, ultimately empowering strategic decision‑making. You will lead the design and implementation of finance process improvements, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance requirements, champion the adoption of AI and automation tools to streamline reporting, forecasting and transactional processes, and provide performance reporting and high‑level critical analysis and specialist advice on financial results, divisional initiatives, projects and related issues. Responsibilities Design and implement finance process improvements. Align processes with best practices and regulatory requirements. Champion AI and automation tools for reporting and forecasting. Provide performance reporting and specialist financial analysis. Support divisional initiatives and projects with financial insight. Qualifications Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems. Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, business process improvement or systems implementation within a large corporate or government environment. Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial operations and reporting. Experience in AI automation and digital tools (e.g. Power BI, machine learning or large language models). Essential requirements Tertiary degree in accounting, business, technology or commerce.
