Non-Executive Director, Board Governance The Company is a not-for-profit, community-based service dedicated to the safety and well-being of women and vulnerable families, particularly those affected by domestic and family violence. The organization is seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors to join its Board. This is a significant opportunity for individuals who are deeply committed to the mission of the organization and wish to play a key role in its leadership and governance. Responsibilities The successful candidates will be expected to participate in approximately 6 board meetings and 6 committee meetings per year, as well as advocate for the organization and attend community events. Qualifications Background in one or more of the following areas: finance, legal, IT, or fundraising. Board experience and/or AICD (or similar) certification is advantageous. Knowledge of the responsibilities of a Non-Executive Director, including governance, legal, ethical, fiduciary, and financial duties. Experience or knowledge in the domestic violence or homelessness sector is a plus. Strategic expertise, the ability to review and contribute to the organization's strategy, and the financial and legal capability to ensure compliance and make informed decisions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
