Production Manager

Production Manager We are seeking a very experienced & detail-oriented Head of Production to join our fast-growing MTO (Made To Order) Division, The role is based out of our global head office located in Rosebery, Sydney. The MTO Division focuses on selling our mass market brand Coconut Grove to retail partners around the world including Target Australia, Anaconda, ALDI, Walmart, Tesco, Costco, TJX, to name a few. Reporting into the Division Manager, you will be managing the whole production process and become the key contact between factories and customers. The role requires someone with a proven experience in dealing efficiently with both factories in China & mass market retailers. You will have a solid understanding of the whole manufacturing & logistics processes, some solid problem-solving skills, a very high attention to detail and some great time management skills. What you will be doing? Key contact with the different departments of our retailers/customers to manage the production cycle: vendor onboarding, factory auditing, item creation, product testing, shipment inspection, shipping & booking processes, invoicing. Key contact with our factories to assure smooth & efficient transfer of all customer’s specific product, compliance & logistics requirements. Key contact with our Design team ensures the proofing of artwork and assistance with product and lifestyle shooting. Key contact with Head of Production to ensure timely completion of all critical tasks and adhere to deadlines and offering overall administrative support. Key contact with our IT & Finance teams to manage our risk: insurance, invoicing, cash flow, ERP. Experience Experience in a similar role for 7+ years must have worked with any of the major retailers like Kmart, Big W, TJX, ALDI, Costco etc direct or through importers. Experience in dealing with factories in China for both hard & soft goods. Experience in working with mass market retailers in Australia & internationally. Strong knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes. Experience in managing product safety & factory compliance. Experience with packaging and product design. Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy and is very organized. Computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word) Mandarin speaking would be added advantage. (Optional) Mandarin Speaker highly regarded but not essential. Have excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Fast learner able to learn how to use our order processing system quickly and efficiently. Ability to use critical thinking to solve problems and be solutions oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be flexible, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and changing environment. Hard working enthusiastic team player. Always be a dedicated team player and drive team to work hard by showing them how it's done.
